GUERNSEY STARTER KIT
Dear Kinfolk,
I have enjoyed passing on what I know about the Guernsey history. My bucket list wish was to ignite a spark in one of Elmer and Madalena’s great-grandchildren to keep the stories alive for our future generations.
So, I am enclosing a “starter kit” for your Guernsey file.
These attachments are from Ancestry.com. for your future reference.
The charts actually goes on many generations past the sheet I have enclosed. Example, John Garnzey, born 1561 in England (no I did not mis-spell the Guernsey name, it later changed to Garnsey in Massachusetts and later to Guernsey.) Madalena M. Honderick’s chart can be traced back to Ruprecht VonD Ren born in 1226 in Germany, married to VonHolhenlohe Branuneck of Germany.
In the future if you have questions or stories to tell about the Guernseys, just send me an e-mail and I will be glad to pass them on.
My next “who is my granddaddy” stories will be about the Anderson ancestry. I realize these blogs may not be of interest to my Guernsey kinfolk, so please feel free to unsubscribe. If in the future I have additional information on the Guernseys I will notify each one of you.
The Guernsey blogs have brought me back in contact with many of my cousins, which I am most thankful.
Jim Lee
