It has been awhile since I posted to my blog http://www.whoismygranddaddy.com New year and I am ready to take the challenge of researching “who were our grandmothers”.

My early research taught me to be careful about any comments towards the Amish, Dutch and Germans. They may have been our Guernsey grandmothers!

Also, do you have friends with the last name Honderick, King, Saulsaman, Gingerich, Weyrey, Zimmerman, Schenek, Hanson, Wemple, Curtis, Roe or Wemple? They share the same name
as our Guernsey grandmothers maiden names…..you might share their DNA.

My next blog will start with my daughters grandmother, Alida Lena Guernsey. I will share early day stories of Alida and her sisters Minnie, Pauline, Louella. Hey cousins, have any stories about your mothers you would like to include?
