Our relationship to the Bush family goes back approximately ten generations. Our 10th great grandmother, Mehitabel Garnsey, born 1673, in Maine, married John Thomas Horton who would be President George Walker Bush 10th great grandfather. They were married in 1689 in Rehoboth, Maine. In approximately 1825, the Garnsey family changed their spelling to Guernsey*. The following chart shows the 10 generations for both families.
